Dr. Dev DuttaDr. Dev Dutta is a Naval Architect with over 40 years of extensive global experience in the marine and offshore sectors and most recently served as the Director & Head of Technical Services subsidiary of a Hong Kong based premier Ship management company.

His career and passion have seen him spend time in all the major maritime hubs globally, in diverse, multicultural teams in Scandinavia, Scotland, India, Singapore, Korea and Hong Kong. Dev brings a unique combination of technical experience & expertise and present day business management and leadership skills.

He is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Naval Architects (RINA), London and is a Chartered Engineer (C.Eng.) of the Engineering Council, U.K. He is also a Fellow of Society of Naval Architects & marine Engineers Singapore.

Dev has a PhD in Marine and Offshore engineering from the well-known University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland, an MBA from the National University of Singapore, and a Bachelor of Technology (Honours) degree in Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur, India. As a young graduate he also pursued a two year training programme at the globally renowned institute of Det Norske Veritas in Hovik, Norway.

Lead Naval Architect, a key member of the core engineering project management team for the world’s largest LNG shipbuilding project by Qatargas JV with oil majors Exxon Mobil, Conoco Philips & Shell.
Engineering project management – Principal Engineer, American Bureau of Shipping, Singapore, heading a team of engineers responsible for plan review of FPSOs, FSO and MODUs.
